Ben embodies integrity, energy, and innovative service in every facet of his clients’ real estate journey. His early career included serving in the United States Coast Guard and upon Ben's return to New England, he helped establish one of the most successful restaurants in Providence's historic Federal Hill before making an industry leap into residential real estate. Ben's early success in real estate can be attributed to his tall commitment to education, having been coached by several acclaimed and distinguished industry professionals. Whether it's guiding first time home buyers trying to build a foundation for their future, or assisting in a luxury market, Ben's experience and knowledge in sales and client satisfaction, combined with his understanding of the Rhode Island market and synergistic spirit make him and [THE BLACKSTONE TEAM] the ideal choice.
Ben was born and raised in the Gaspee neighborhood of Warwick and attended Pilgrim High School. His family has long-standing roots in the community as well--his grandfather having owned and operated the Kean Garage in Pawtuxet Village. Ben spent his summers on Wakefield Pond in Northern Rhode Island and there he gained an instant attachment to the wonder and beauty that each season brings to the Ocean State. Currently, Ben lives in a multi-family house in the Elmhurst neighborhood of Providence--a sound investment he believes first-time and/or millennial buyers should consider as an inaugural real estate step. He lives with his wife Alisa, who has a background in architectural history. She is employed as a preservation consultant with the Public Archaeology Laboratory (PAL) , specializing in state and federal historic tax credits. They are both enthusiastic members of the community and are constantly finding new ways to give back to the place they love. Outside of real estate, Ben spends his time working on a local true crime podcast (yet to be released) and trying to keep up with his 10 year old lab rescue, Kirby.
I am not a salesperson. I am a researcher, a storyteller, and a matchmaker. I have been those things all my life, and after more than 27 years in areas of real estate including title search, underwriting, planning, zoning, litigation, renovation, and more, I feel they are roles that uniquely position me to assist my clients at a level uncommon in the local marketplace.
I approach my work from a position that is equal parts analyst and creative, and I bring it all together as a fiduciary through my natural inclination to serve. A longtime Rhode Islander, I have lived everywhere from a carriage house on Providence’s East Side, to a beach house in Snug Harbor, to my old wooden boat tucked into a cove in Portsmouth. When I am not educating and advocating for my clients, I am writing, boating, or spending time with my senior rescue dogs.
I love to travel and have worked on writing projects in places as disparate as Portland, Oregon and Charleston, South Carolina. I enjoyed a year in a cottage among the redwoods in Northern California while serving as Writer in Residence at Westhaven Center for the Arts and teaching at Humboldt State University’s Osher Lifelong Learning Institute.
Spending time in other places has given me an appreciation of all the ways Rhode Island’s beautiful coastline and communities nurture the lives of residents. I’m proud to be a member of [THE BLACKSTONE TEAM] that does an exceptional job here in Rhode Island real estate. I feel that selling real estate should be the last job of any Realtor. I’m grateful every day to help my clients live their story with confidence and authenticity.
Ben Guglielmi is a licensed Realtor and was born and raised in Providence. With almost two decades of experience in local business, he knows the communities of the Ocean State inside and out. He’s a homeowner on the west side of Providence, a vibrant and diverse neighborhood where he actively contributes to improving the area by serving as a WBNA member, having volunteered to remedy homelessness and passionately working to better his community.
Ben is a family man who enjoys hiking, great restaurants and spending time with his wife and young son. A vegan, Ben loves to explore all the possibilities of a plant-based diet. He’s also a traveler, and when he isn’t working for his clients, he can be found riding a motorcycle in the Himalayas of Nepal, smoking a fine cigar in Havana or barracuda fishing in Nicaragua.
Ben brings a positive, detail-oriented and creative attitude to the real estate process. He harnesses the power of [THE BLACKSTONE TEAM] through the education, support and savvy of industry leaders. Ben listens intently and works with tenacity and diligence to both sell houses for his seller clients and find the perfect matches for his buyer clients. Ben believes the real estate process should be seamless, exciting and fulfilling.
