Rhode Island, We Love You.

In today’s Destination: Rhode Island we’re taking a look at Providence! Home to The Blackstone Team office, Providence is a city known for its diverse cultural offerings, vibrant downtown, and beautiful waterfront. Providence is a great place to explore, with its numerous restaurants, shops, and entertainment venues. There are also plenty of historical sites to visit, making it a great place to learn about the city’s past.

Here are a few facts about Providence that you may not have known:

1. Providence is home to the nation’s oldest library, the John Carter Brown Library, founded in 1846.
2. The Roger Williams National Memorial is the site of the first church in Providence, founded in 1638.
3. Providence is home to Brown University, the seventh oldest university in the United States.
4. Providence has the second highest concentration of coffee shops per capita in the country, behind only Seattle.
5. Providence is the birthplace of the popular coffee drink, the Coffee Cabinet.

There’s so much to love about this city and with its wide range of universities and colleges, Providence makes for a great place for students and academics alike! The city is also incredibly walkable, with plenty of outdoor spaces and parks, making it a great place to live and explore.
