A vegan and fierce advocate for kindness toward all creatures, I volunteer at West Place Animal Sanctuary and sit on their board as Treasurer. I count among my favorite friends the pigs Jack and Diane, goats Sadie and Maggie, and Louie the dirty duck. Ever guilty of bringing my work — even the volunteer variety — home with me, I adopted my rescue cat Oliver from West Place, and together with my American Eskimo pup Aspen, he rules the roost in my loft in Providence’s Jewelry District. Just as in my volunteer work I am a strong advocate for those with no voice, so I safeguard my clients’ interests and help them strategize the best way to achieve their goals. A lifelong resident of Rhode Island, I understand the nuances of the state’s varied and unique communities, and the value each brings to life here in the Ocean State. From Sandy Point Beach to Blackstone River State Park, downcity Providence to seaside Newport, I enjoy all this little state has to offer, and I am able to bring that appreciation to bear on behalf of my clients. Always mindful of the power of presence, I begin most days with my yoga practice and a reading from The Book of Awakening by Mark Nepo. A Magna Cum Laude graduate of Rhode Island College, I hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science, and I have worked as a Director of Marketing in the textile industry. I believe the keys to my success in a variety of fields are my love of reading, my desire to be of service, my strength in the face of adversity, and — last but certainly not least — my sense of humor.
