Julien Jonfelix is the recipient of The Blackstone Team of Mott & Chace Sotheby's International Realty’s inaugural Black Real Estate Agent Scholarship & Mentorship Program (BREA) for 2023. This program is dedicated to creating a more diverse and inclusive environment in the real estate market in the State of Rhode Island. Born in Providence’s Woman & Infants Hospital, Julien grew up in the Elmhurst neighborhood on the Northwest Side of the city where he was a self-taught homeschooler under the guidance of his parents. He was a dual sport varsity athlete at Mount Pleasant High School where he played both basketball and football. Julien is also an alumnus of Johnson & Wales University where he earned his Bachelor of Science in Business Development and Entrepreneurship.

While Julien embodies the strong qualities of being goal-driven, self-motivated, and the openness to stepping into any arena, it is his strategic and visionary mindset and creative approach to problem-solving that he believes will bring value to the team and the real estate marketplace at large. As a first-generation Haitian American, Julien understands the meaning of hard work and dedication to succeed in business and life. After college, he worked in the entertainment, music, and food industries. Julien considers himself a connector, a gourmand, and a social entrepreneur. He has been the Head of Hospitality at Lupo's Heart Break Hotel and also managed the Radish Food Truck in the College Hill neighborhood. Seven years ago, Julien relocated to Seattle. His love for all things real estate began here, working as a consultant for his family's real estate development company. In Seattle, Julien also became the founder and business director of Little Steamers Academy, a 21st-century STEAM-based (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art & Math) child development center, was a member of multiple community associations, and acted as a founding member of the Skyway Early Learning and Equity Collective. The biggest take-away from his time in the Pacific Northwest was that community and success in business are inseparable partners, and he believes nothing is ever really accomplished alone. This is why Julien is excited to be back in his home city of Providence and to be working in the collaborative environment of The Blackstone Team and add meaning to home ownership. When Julien is not hard at work, you can find him enjoying the music of many flavors, working out at the gym, or taking a deep dive into captivating documentaries. Julien considers himself a fashionista and is also an avid traveler. In recent years Julien has made three cross-country drives and found a love for camping and navigating his Wrangler over sand dunes. Though he just returned from the beautiful town of Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, he is already planning his next international travel with his family. As a father and family man, Julien understands the importance and the integral role real estate has on family and community and is committed to converting that understanding into his service with clients and to the Rhode Island community at large. He is dedicated to understanding his client's dreams and ideas, which he will use to produce successful one-of-a-kind experiences and life-long relationships.
