I am not a  salesperson.  I am a  researcher, a  storyteller, and a  matchmaker.  I have been those things all my life, and after more than 30 years in areas of real estate including title search, underwriting, planning, zoning, litigation, renovation, and more, I feel they are roles that uniquely position me to assist my clients at a level uncommon in the local marketplace.

• • As a  researcher, I gather information: about my clients, their needs and goals; about properties’ unique attributes; and about the potential risks and rewards of any transaction.

• • As a  storyteller, I learn the history of homes, I listen to the people moving to and from them, and I help my clients write the next chapter in their personal narratives. I appreciate the ongoing story, counting clients and colleagues both new and old among my circle of family and friends.

• • As a  matchmaker, I pair people with the right real estate to realize their goals, their financial plans, and their dreams. I don’t sell houses. I match land and structures with genuine, individual lives.

I approach my work from a position that is equal parts analyst and creative, and I bring it all together as a fiduciary through my natural inclination to serve.  A longtime Rhode Islander, I have lived everywhere from a carriage house on Providence’s East Side, to a beach house in Snug Harbor, to my old wooden boat tucked into a cove in Portsmouth. When I am not educating and advocating for my clients, I am writing, boating, or spending time with my senior rescue dogs.

I love to travel and have worked on writing projects in places as disparate as Portland, Oregon and Charleston, South Carolina. I enjoyed a year in a cottage among the redwoods in Northern California while serving as Writer in Residence at Westhaven Center for the Arts and teaching at Humboldt State University’s Osher Lifelong Learning Institute.

Spending time in other places has given me an appreciation of all the ways Rhode Island’s beautiful coastline and communities nurture the lives of residents. I’m proud to be a member of [THE BLACKSTONE TEAM] that does an exceptional job here in Rhode Island real estate.  I feel that selling real estate should be the last job of any Realtor.  I’m grateful every day to help my clients live their story with confidence and authenticity.
