The median single-family price is holding strong at $520,000, up 5.3% year-over-year. These figures suggest the market is balancing out, and that buyers have more negotiating power and choice than they’ve had in a long time.
That said, it’s not a buyer’s market yet, and timing remains critical. Prices across the board are still elevated, and homes are moving quickly in many areas. But compared to the hyper-competitive frenzy of recent years, this is a momentary but meaningful opening, one that buyers shouldn’t ignore.
